Roots and sabor, right on Roosevelt.
Sea Town began as a tiny fish counter on 104th Street, run by a family who couldn’t find the seafood they grew up with anywhere in the neighborhood. So they started bringing it in themselves — cleaning every fish, marinating every cut and stocking every spice the way their abuelas taught them.
Today the market still runs on the same idea: a place where the produce smells like a Sunday in the country, where you’re greeted in Spanish, in English or in whatever language your kitchen speaks — and where every sticker on the wall is a promise.
What to cook this week.

Camarones a la Diabla
Gulf shrimp, fire-roasted tomatoes, chiles de árbol — straight from the seafood counter.

Tacos de Carne Asada
Our house-marinated asada, charred onions, fresh tortillas from the panadería.

Ensalada de Nopales
Cleaned nopales, queso fresco, ripe tomatoes and a squeeze of lime — Sunday in a bowl.

Pescado a la Veracruzana
Whole red snapper from the counter, simmered with tomatoes, olives, capers and a glass of white wine.

Pollo en Mole Rápido
A weeknight mole built on a jar of Doña María, toasted sesame and a square of Mexican chocolate.

Plátanos Maduros con Queso
Sweet ripe plátanos, pan-fried until caramelized and topped with a snowfall of queso fresco.
